Amazon dominates the German online retail market with a revenue share of 53 percent. About 94 percent of German online shoppers have purchased from Amazon at some point. In Germany alone, Amazon has around 46.2 million customers. This raises the question of whether Amazon is currently the only way to be successful in online business.
